The Stalker Scorpion SRS Piston!

I am glad to announce the new Stalker Scorpion piston. A piston that is in development since September 2019. I have this piston in prototype for more than 6 months and shared prototype versions in our test panel with amazing results. The parts have been finetuned to have the best possible gaming experience for your SRS A1 or A2/M2.

The Stalker Scorpion piston has an extremely modular design which was made from scratch on my drawing table a while ago it has all the options people want to have in their SRS. This piston is a unique concept with 6 weights from the piston body itself and because the piston itself is made up of weights, it's also possible to extend the piston with 7 weights.

I’ll explain the features of this piston for you below.

The cups are made of durable grade rubber and has been tested and changed to have the best performance with the current cylinders on the market. The piston cups are available in three versions.

Black Cup

  • Zero friction.
  • No Thumb block seal.
  • Best Joule Output.
  • Fast Reloading(lightest pull).

Brown Cup

  • Middle-sized.
  • Low Friction.
  • 100% thumb block seal.
  • Lower joule output than the black cup.

The piston comes with several body weights (depending on the product edition you pick) that are interchangeable with each other to perfectly set up your SRS.

  • The body weights are available in aluminum anodized black, each piece weighs: 7 Grams
  • The body weights are available in coated gold polished steel, each piece weighs: 21 Grams

Next to that, the piston head is coming in these versions as well.

  • The piston head is available in aluminum anodized black, each head weighs: 8 Grams
  • The piston head is available in coated gold polished steel, each head weighs: 24 Grams

This way you can configure the piston between ~65 to 148 grams (depending on airbrake), This way you can set it up for any kind of Joule Outputs.

Next to that, the piston comes with 2 different adjustable airbrakes

1x Adjustable Airbrake made from Brass

This is a non-tapered fat brass airbrake. This airbrake is the most direct working airbrake, once the airbrake enters the nozzle the piston immediately starts to air brake.
The Brass airbrake has an O-ring option.

2x Adjustable Tapered Airbrake made from POM.

This adjustable tapered Airbrake is made out of POM Delrin, We included two pieces in case one break when removing the cup.
When the tapered part enters the nozzle, the nozzle faces a tapered surface and we feel this airbrake is somewhat more forgiving and more adjustable than the brass version because it's POM and tapered.

Both airbrakes are held with a nut underneath the cup against the piston head to keep it in place after you have adjusted it to your liking.

The adjustable airbrake is there to adjust the piston’s speed at the very last bit of the shot to reduce the time of air escaping the cylinder and also to reduce some piston slam noise when the piston cup hits the cylinder head.

Other parts that are included :

  • Sear End Cap from Stainless steel.
  • 10- O rings for in between the weights or cylinder head to eliminate loosening of the weights by use when playing.
  • Front Guide Ring made from POM.
  • Receiver Guide RING made from POM.
  • 9MM Laser engraved Stalker Spring guide with top cut-out for the adjustable Airbrake.
  • Soft Bumper Pad that fits in the Spring guide to reducing recoil slam. (Hard bumper pad separate available Article code: ST-050)
  • 2 O-Rings for Springside that fits A1 butt-stock.
  • 2 O-Rings for Springside that fits A2/M2 butt-stock.

The size of the entrance of the Scorpion piston has been optimized to work best with Rapax and Silverback springs but might work just fine with other brand springs as long as these springs have the same diameter as the springs mentioned above.

Basically, if u like a plug and play piston or if you are a master of tinkering with your piston weights, airbrake, and cups to get the best performance, then the Stalker Scorpion is your friend.
